Been wanting to have these since I started doing nail art. Buying these online would surely cost you a lot. I went to Market! Market! and searched for the LA Colors booth, and WAS I ECSTATIC when I found these on the racks! It's Php60 each, shades are limited so get as many as you can. :)

Lancome Maquicake UV

This is going to be a quick review and I'm gonna be as straightforward as I can be. I love Lancome, their eyeshadows, mascaras, lipsticks and skin care....I've used them all in  the past and they're superb!

I was amazed by how this thing works when I saw the videos and product description, it claims to be sweat-proof, you can find the product demo here. So I decided to get one for myself.

Well, the packaging is nice, the mirror is wide and that's one thing I love about this compact. The applicator is fine, its the same as the ones you get from Maybelline or Loreal. So lets get down to the bottom of this.....................The Powder: I like the shade by just looking at it. Once applied, its too sheer it wont cover anything at all. Think: CORNSTARCH

Will I repurchase? No. Nuff said.

Lulur

Purbasari and Asian Secrets Lulur are sold at Watson's, Mercury Drug, and supermarkets
Javanese Mandi Lulur is an ancient beauty treatment, which originated centuries ago in the palaces of central Java as a “purifying” ritual for Javanese princesses as they prepared for their wedding day.  It was in Java, that many secrets of health and beauty, utilizing the naturally occurring herbs, spices, foods, clays and minerals were created and used for the benefit of the royal family.

The Mandi Lulur or ‘royal wedding’ treatment, is traditionally given to women each day for 40 days preceding their wedding, to soften and sweeten their skin and prepare them for this most important of days.

A soapless bath. Spa at home. If you have dry skin, I recommend you to try this. I've had dry skin for years and no lotion can keep my skin soft and moisturised for hours until I was finally introduced to this. It's delicately scented (my fave is the white tub!) and it lingers on your skin. I love how gentle  the scrub is, it's safe for daily use. It claims to whiten skin though I can't prove it yet since I've been using this for a week.
The downside? It's hard to find. I was only able to get hold of the 'famous green tub' because it was just placed somewhere in the supermarket shelves and it's the only one left there. They said it's being hoarded by other users. If ever you visit a supermarket or drugstore that sells this, don't just get one...you'll regret it. :))

Look at her without makeup. Her skin's a lot worse than mine. I admire her bravery and she is inspiring. I wish people would stop being mean to women wearing makeup. Because you dont know how it feels to walk around with unwanted scars. They should feel lucky because they won't have to pile up on concealers and foundations. Battling with acne and acne scars is not as easy as other people think. It drops our confidence to the lowest level. That is ONE main reason why we wear makeup. We just wanna be beautiful and confident. Nothing wrong about it. You know what's wrong? MEAN PEOPLE. They should be the ones ashamed of themselves.

A Must Try: Aloe Vera

Don't underestimate the power of this plant. It may be the solution to your undying dilemma --- acne scars and dark spots. Yes, google aloe vera acne treatment and it will return hundreds of results showing benefits, testimonials and how to's. You will only need the actual plant. Been on it for 2 weeks now and my skin has improved. It calms and soothes your skin, it feels good especially when your skin was broken out, you can really tell the difference between the manufactured moisturiser and the natural effects of aloe. The latter is waaay better! It's kinda gooey at first, but don't worry, it dries fast and you can even let it stay longer on your skin (it has anti-bacterial properties). With continued use, scars and dark spots will lighten and disappear.

Use google for more info :)
Oh, if you have questions or comments, feel free to write on the comments box ;)

M2 Skin Refinish

One of the most raved about skin products nowadays (..and my most expensive skincare purchase!). Hope this helps my recent 'worst breakout ever'. I bought 8 sample sizes and is waiting for my bottle to arrive. I'm using this with Ziiit White. On days that I had to skip, I do my usual regimen of lemon toner and aloe vera mask. My skin condition has improved a LOT. Will post updates.... *winks*

the actual pic of my goodies!

The Ten Lip Balms of my Life. =)

Avon Little Blossom was my first lip balm..

Bonne Bell Lip Smackers!!! I was gaga over these when I was in highschool!

Blistex Lip Tone is one of my fave lip balms ever. Been using this since college days. :D

Nivea Lip Care in Cherry Kiss. This has been my fave too because of I don't need to put lipstick on. :)

Omi Brotherhood Menturm Medicated Stick with Menthol --The yummiest mentholated lip balm in the whole world! And it really works fast! :))
The Body Shop Born Lippy - I like the sheer tint and it feels lighter than Nivea.

Neutrogena Moisture Shine Lip Balm with SPF 20 - my Beach Balm ;)

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer --is the WINNER!!! I've had all shades and they do taste yummy minty too! Best for kissing! *wink* Been using this for years!

Maybelline Age Rewind Cream Compact Foundation

I've heard great reviews on this product so I decided to get one for myself. This is no longer available in the Maybelline counters but I was able to get a couple on ebay.

My judgement:

I never like a single thing about this product at all.
- it never ceases to melt on my face as soon as I apply it. It's greasy, it's heavy, and it never sets!
- my skin can't breathe, I can feel it.
- Maybelline made a bad idea in packaging-- who likes to store a used sponge and a mirror in one place?! Not convenient at all. Mirror is too small. Sponge is crappy.

So, I gave it to my mom for her to try. She liked it. Well, her skin is dry and it prolly worked for her. And for most users. But not for me.

BK Nail Polish

If you would visit 168 mall, don't forget to drop by at Just Nails store. You'll find all you need in nail art. BK is one of my fave brands. They have a wide selection of colours to choose from. I bet you'll have a hard time choosing ;)

BK is high-quality and is priced a bit higher than our local brands, but way cheaper than (and as good as) US brands. :)

Used black and silver glitter Nail Art Polish from BK.

Kiss Nail Artist

Just got lucky again!!! I've been looking for LA Colors Artdeco but these are what I found on ebay. I won the bid for less than Php150 on each set. Not sure how much the original price is, but Kiss is well known for nail art materials. It's hard to find, double the price and I would still be willing to buy it. I love the colors and they do dry as fast as sundae choco dip. The brush is A-W-E-S-O-M-E....I can now make faultless thin strokes on my designs. Highly pigmented so you wont need to retrace your application. The set includes tip guides (which are not useful at all) and rhinestones in different sizes.

L'oreal HIP Foundation

My foundation for 3 years now. :)
I mix 802 Sand and 808 Cafe to get my perfect shade. Cafe alone tends to darken me a few hours after application. Sand is my exact shade, but I mix Cafe to add a little bit more hue. It is the only foundation that's labeled with red (cool) and yellow (warm) undertones. It's impossible for you not to find your perfect match. Coverage is full. A small amount is enough to cover the whole face. The dried up liquid in the cap works excellent as concealer for dark spots. My mom and sister (who has extremely sensitive skin) got hooked to this too. It never broke me out. In some cases, it tends to get oily on my T-zone. I just blot the excess oil off, pats some powder on, and it's perfectly fresh again. :) This product is no longer available in L'oreal counters. I always get this from ebay.

NYX Round Lipstick

NYX Round Lipstick has been selling like hotcakes nowadays. Aside from it's reasonably cheap price, it has a wide selection of shades to choose from. I bought 4 of these (though i would like to get more, but it took me hours to pick the best 4 because every shade from the selection is right in front of me and they all are irresistible). Here's the swatch I took:

Note that colors may appear darker in this pic than on actual: From left: Paparazzi, B52, Fig, Indian Pink

I also bought Eros (the prettiest red among them) and Spellbound for my sister. :)

Love: highly pigmented, most shades matches my skintone, non-drying, creamy, vibrant
Hate: product melts and breaks easily, not long lasting

New Haul: Sally Hansen Nail Lacquers

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength and Lacquer Shine

I'm-A-Lucky-Girl! I won these on ebay. I bid on two sets, 4 bottles in each (I only posted 6 bottles coz i gave the other two away!). I only spent around Php600 on these. I went to SM Manila to check the other shades out but I didn't buy any because each bottle is sold at Php360-395! Awwww! So I really had to wait till the ebay seller post a new set of shades to bid on. :)

Wet n Wild Wild Shine Nail Polish

This is the first set of branded nail polish I bought after I learn the basic nail art designs. I used to buy local brands for practice. I like Wet n Wild because it's cheap and the product in the bottle doesn't dry nor thicken easily. It can stay on my nails for three days which, for me, is reasonably fine because I really don't wear a single color and I always put clear coat on my work. This can be bought at SM Department Store for Php 99 each. But I saw some being sold on ebay for as low as Php 38.00 ;)
